Life Insurance and Retirement Coverage We Handle

Most families need one of two things: affordable protection for a set number of years, or permanent coverage that lasts as long as you pay. Term life insurance and mortgage protection insurance cover the first need. Whole life, universal life and final expense insurance cover the second, and retirement income planning helps you turn savings into a steady paycheck later on.

    Term Life Insurance

Level-premium term life coverage sized to your mortgage, income and children's ages, with beneficiaries and conversion options checked before you sign.

  • Person in a gray sweater reviews printed charts at an office desk with a laptop, calculator, folders and glasses, filing cabinets behind

    Retirement Income Planning

Turn savings, pensions and Social Security into a steady monthly income, with the market, inflation and survivor risks checked before any product is suggested.

    Final Expense Insurance

Small whole life policies that cover funeral and end-of-life bills, matched to your health and explained down to the waiting period.

    Universal Life Insurance

Permanent coverage with flexible premiums, designed and stress-tested so rising insurance costs do not drain the cash value and end the policy early.

  • Over-the-shoulder view of two men at a wooden office desk reviewing two printed documents side by side, with a pen cup and paper tray nearby.

    Mortgage Protection

Term coverage sized to your loan balance and the years left on it, paid to your family so they can keep the property or clear the debt.

    Whole Life Insurance

Permanent coverage with a level premium and guaranteed cash value, set up with the guaranteed numbers and beneficiary details checked first.

What Sets the Cost of a Life Insurance Policy

The insurer's underwriters set your premium, not us, and they base it on a few measurable risk factors. Understanding them shows you where spending more makes sense and where you can save.

Quotes are free and follow a short talk about your needs and health. The insurer confirms the final premium after underwriting, and we explain any change before you say yes.

Your age when you apply
Your premium is fixed to your age on the issue date. Applying a few years sooner usually brings a lower rate for the whole term.
Health rating and nicotine
Underwriters place you in a rating class using your medical history, medications, height and weight, and sometimes a paramedical exam. Any form of nicotine usually moves you to a more expensive class.
How much coverage and for how long
A larger face amount means a higher premium, and so does a longer term. The more years the insurer is exposed, the more each payment costs, so a 30-year term costs more than a 20-year one.
Term compared with permanent
For the same face amount, whole life and universal life cost far more than term. The extra pays for coverage that never expires and for cash value that grows inside the policy over the years.
Add-on riders
Waiver of premium, accelerated benefit and child term riders each raise the price. We suggest only the ones that match an actual risk you face.

How Getting Covered Works With Us

Most policies move from first conversation to delivery in a few clear steps. Timing depends mostly on the insurer's underwriting.

  1. 1

Talking through what you need to protect

We go over your income, debts, mortgage balance, your children's ages and any coverage you have through your job. From that we get an actual coverage amount, not an estimate pulled from the air.

  2. 2

    Quotes compared side by side

We line up policy types and term lengths with the premium for each, and list riders on their own lines.

  3. 3

    Applying and underwriting

We fill out the application together, one question at a time. Before making an offer, the insurer may request medical records or a brief exam.

  4. 4

    Delivery and a last review

Once the policy comes, we compare the face amount, rating class and beneficiaries with what you applied for. Only after that do we help you cancel any older policy it replaces.

A Careful Approach to Protecting Your Family

Life Insurance Grapevine is an agency serving clients across Grapevine, TX and the surrounding area. We work by phone and meet at a time and place that suits you, including your business.

Our focus is simple: the policy you buy should pay out cleanly when your family needs it. That means correct beneficiaries, an accurate application, no coverage gap during a replacement and a clear picture of what is guaranteed. We would rather spend an extra half hour checking details than have your family discover a problem later.

Common Life Insurance Questions

Something not covered here? (817) 532-4978

How much coverage do I really need?

Total what would need paying off or replacing: your mortgage, other debts, the years of income your family counts on and costs still to come, like college. Subtract savings and any workplace group policy. We work through the math with you so the face amount matches what you actually owe and provide, not a round guess.

Is term life or whole life the right choice?

Term life lasts a fixed number of years, like 20 or 30, and costs the least per dollar of coverage. Whole life covers you for life and builds cash value, but the premium is much higher. Many families use term for the years their income matters most, plus a smaller permanent policy for final costs.

Will I have to take a medical exam?

Sometimes. Some policies rely on your answers, medical records and prescription databases rather than an exam, while bigger face amounts often call for a quick paramedical visit. We let you know in advance how each insurer handles it.

Do I cancel my current policy before getting a new one?

No. Leave the current policy in place until the new one is approved, issued and its first premium is paid. If the new application is turned down or priced higher than you expected, you are still covered.

What happens if I'm late on a premium?

Your policy includes a grace period that keeps coverage active while you catch up. Miss that deadline and the policy lapses. Reinstating it can mean going through health questions again, so we usually recommend setting up automatic bank payments.

Can my young kids be my beneficiaries?

Yes, but insurers usually won't hand a large payout straight to a minor. A court may have to appoint someone to oversee the money, which causes delays. Naming a trust or custodian gets around that, and we go over the choices with you first.

Is mortgage protection paid to the lender or to my family?

It depends on the policy. Many mortgage protection plans are term policies that pay your chosen beneficiary, who then decides what to do with the money. We verify who gets the benefit before you apply.

Why Clients Choose Us for Their Coverage

A life insurance policy only works if every detail on it is right on the day a claim is filed. Our whole process is built around catching the small errors that cause big problems.

We never leave you uninsured during a switch
If you are replacing an older policy, we keep it in force until the new one is approved, issued and paid. Canceling first and applying second is how people end up with no coverage after a surprise underwriting decline.
Beneficiary designations get a second look
We confirm primary and contingent beneficiaries, spelling, and percentages that add up to 100. If a beneficiary is a minor child, we explain why naming a trust or custodian matters, because an insurer generally cannot pay a large sum directly to a child.
Applications answered accurately
Health and tobacco questions on an application are reviewed during the contestability period if a claim is filed early. We walk through each question with you so an honest mistake does not give the insurer a reason to deny payment.
Guaranteed and projected numbers kept separate
Universal and whole life illustrations mix guaranteed values with projections that depend on interest rates or dividends. We point out which column is promised and which is an estimate, so you are not planning around a number that may never arrive.
A quote you can read
You get the face amount, term length, premium and any riders written out, along with what each rider costs and what it actually does.
